What’s it like driving Ferrari 458 Special Aperta

One of the last naturally aspirated Ferrari V8 from a special very limited edition, Ferrari 458 Speciale, but this is a convertible, so Speciale A (Aperta). Originally lucky buyers invited to own one got it for $400,000 (est). Now over $700,000. Ridiculous

Smoking Tire, Matt Farah: The Ferrari 458 Speciale Aperta, mouthful as it is, is the spider version of the incredible 458 Speciale. It’s lighter, more powerful, and racier than stock thanks to the liberal use of carbon fiber, the lack of sound insulation, and the bare metal floors, but because this is the last naturally-aspirated mid-engined Ferrari probably ever, collector values have shot through the roof. While these cars were nearly $400,000 when new, the fact that only a few hundred were made means that today, if you want one, you’re looking at $700,000+. Is the juice worth the squeeze? Only one way to find out.
